Continuing Peter's Legacy
The Peter T Blake Memorial Foundation is an organization dedicated to honoring the memory of a young musician who passed away on December 31, 2023 at the age of 25. Peter was a jazz bassist who loved nothing more than to play music and to spread his love and passion for jazz,
The mission of this foundation is to provide scholarships to high school students pursuing music degrees and to donate musical instruments and resources to elementary schools in need.
It is through these efforts we aim to keep
Peter's love of music and passion for jazz alive.

Our Mission
December 31 my life came crashing down around me. My only son died and I was forever changed. Almost immedicately, I knew I wanted to change the world.
This foundation was born from that grief. Within six months, I was standing on a stage of two separate high shcools where pete atteneded, presenting two scholarshiops.
The mission continues. In January of this year we had our frist ever Birthday Party/Fund Raiser. Its time to do it all over again.
This June, I will once again present two scholarships on behalf of you the donators to this worth while cause.
The Peter T Blake Memorial Music Scholardhip was founded out of grief of losing Peter.
Our missiojn is simple. Continue peters legacy of his love of music specifically jazz and educate Peter graduated from two different high schools.
Peter attended Simsbury High School in Simsbury Connecticut for academics as well as music education.
He also attended the Greater Hartford Academny of the Arts in Hartford Connecticut.
Our Scholarships
We have awarded four scholarships so far.
2024 was our first year awarding scholarships and two scholarships were awarded.
In June 2025 we awarded two scholarships to two deserving students for the second year in a row.
